A big and interesting thing is that for the first time IPL has released the schedule of the next three years together. The 2026 tournament will run from March 15 to May 31, and the 2027 season will be played from March 14 to May 30.
Availability of foreign players
This time there is another good news for the fans. Most of the foreign players will be seen playing in the entire tournament.

Australia
- Cricket Australia has given permission to all its big players to play IPL.
- Some players will join after the ODI series with Pakistan in 2026
- Will join the team after a special test match against England in 2027
England
- List of 18 top players ready
- Ben Stokes will not play this time
- Star players include Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, and Sam Curran.
Other teams
- All players from South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will be able to play the entire season.
- Sri Lankan players will play the entire season in 2025
- A list of 13 players has come from Bangladesh, which includes legends like Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman.
Why is IPL 2025 season special?
This year’s IPL will be different in many ways. The biggest thing is that for the first time a three-year schedule has been released simultaneously. This will help the teams to plan their strategy and the players will also be able to plan their schedule better.
