The IPL Governing Council has introduced new rules for retention ahead of the mega auction scheduled for later this year. Each team can keep up to six players using a regular retention method and a Right to Match (RTM) card.
Additionally there’s a new rule allowing retired Indian players or those who haven’t played for India in the last five years to be considered uncapped players.
