A few days ago, a shocking video surfaced for cricket fans, in which former Indian batsman Vinod Kambli was seen struggling to stand on his feet in the market.
In the video, Kambli was seen taking the support of a motorcycle and was seen taking the help of others to walk in the market. The video quickly went viral on social media and people raised concerns about his health.
Kambli, who has been facing health issues for the past decade, had undergone angioplasty of two blocked arteries in 2013 and despite that he suffered a massive heart attack. Given these problems, questions about his health were natural.
However, a recent report by Hindustan Times has come as a relief for Kambli’s fans. Kambli’s childhood friend and former umpire Marcus has confirmed that the viral video is old and advised not to believe what is being circulated on social media. Marcus said that Kambli’s health is improving and he is completely fine.
“Kambli’s condition is better than before. The video is old and don’t believe the rumours circulating on social media. Kambli is happy now, his stomach is normal and he is eating well. The whole family is spending time together and his son Cristiano is also taking batting tips from his father.”
Apart from this, Kambli has also interacted with his former teammate Abey Kuruvilla and the newly-appointed president of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Ajinkya Naik, indicating that they are also active in the cricketing world and their relationship remains strong.
All the fans are now relieved with the news of Kambli’s recovery and hope that his health will recover soon.
