After being bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 14 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, Rahul has started preparing for his strong comeback. But this time he has been welcomed in a different way, which surprised the fans.
On the other hand, Rahul’s interaction with the new franchise boss, Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal, was so funny that it took social media by storm.
After coming to Delhi Capitals from Lucknow Super Giants, Rahul not only showed his cricketing skills but also surprised everyone with his football skills.
He shared a video clip on his Instagram story, in which he was seen fielding at backward point. In this video, he bounced the cricket ball with his feet so skillfully and then grabbed it with his hands that even the Australian commentators were stunned. But what was more amusing was his question tagging Parth Jindal.
“Rahul jokingly asked Parth Jindal,” “@parthjindal, did you get an opening in Bengaluru FC?”
Well, the official X handle of Bengaluru FC responded to Rahul’s question by saying,
The question was interesting because Parth Jindal is the managing director of JSW Group and also the owner of Bengaluru FC. This post went viral on social media.
“Would you like to go on loan, @klrahul? Have sent a fax to you, @delhicapitals: we will get him back before #IPL ” Such a funny exchange entertained the fans.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Parth Jindal also said interesting things about Rahul. He said,
“I have spoken to KL but haven’t met him yet. I know him very well personally. I will understand (their thinking) from them, and it will depend on what the coaching group and finally Kiran (Grandhi, co-owner) and I want to do. There’s a lot of time for that.”
This is a turning point for Rahul as he also played a key role in India’s victory in the Perth Test. He along with Yashasvi Jaiswal stitched a brilliant 201-run opening partnership which changed the course of the match against Australia.
JSW Group has several franchises in the sports world. They are also active in ISL, SA20, ILT20, Hockey India League and Pro Kabaddi League. In such a situation, the joining of KL Rahul with him is being considered a big achievement.
