Recently Rishabh Pant cleared up the rumors suggesting he approached Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to join the team are totally false. He is currently part of Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Pant also slammed those spreading fake news on social media and called on users to re-check their untrustworthy sources. Pant was clearly not happy with the scale of the fake news and immediately posted to address it.
Rishabh Pant posted a lengthy message on his X account denying the rumors of him contacting RCB. The 26-year-old also criticized those who spread fake news on social media using unreliable sources.
“Fake news. Why do you guys spread so much fake news on social media? Be sensible, guys; it’s so bad. Don’t create an untrustworthy environment for no reason. It’s not the first time and won’t be the last but I had to put this out. Please always recheck with your so-called sources. Every day it’s becoming worse. Rest, it’s up to you guys. This wasn’t just for you; it’s for a lot of people who are spreading misinformation. Take care,” Pant posted on X (formerly Twitter).
In the era of social media, many unidentified users have put out such fake news through their accounts just to gain more attention. This instance seems to be one of them. While players typically do not react much, Pant chose to slam the user and question the source as well.
Rishabh Pant has been associated with Delhi Capitals since the start of his IPL career. He has been an integral part of Delhi Capitals since then and has played many incredible innings for his team.
The wicketkeeper-batter took over from Shreyas Iyer as the full-time DC captain from the IPL 2022 season. Since then he has led Delhi Capitals in every IPL season except IPL 2023, when he was out for the entire season due to a life-threatening accident.
