Yadav has suffered a serious hand injury during the match against Tamil Nadu Cricket Association XI. This injury occurred when he tried to take a catch at leg slip, and due to this injury, he had to leave the field. Suryakumar Yadav made his presence felt with a 30-run knock in the first innings but could not bat in the second innings due to injury.
According to reports, he has now decided to go for rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, where he will undergo treatment and rehabilitation.
The injury has severely affected his Duleep Trophy 2024 campaign. Yadav has recently been expressing his desire to return to Test cricket, and the Duleep Trophy was an important opportunity for him to make a comeback to the Test team. But now this possibility seems to be weakening.
