The IPL 2025 mega auction has taken the cricket world by storm. In this year’s auction, many big players tried their luck and teams placed bets worth crores.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the first Indian cricketer to cross the Rs 10 crore mark on the second day of the IPL. He was bought by Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants.
South African pacer Marco Jansen was bought by Punjab Kings for a whopping Rs 7 crore. At the same time, Mumbai Indians expressed confidence in Deepak Chahar and made him part of their team for Rs 9.25 crore. Royal Challengers Bangalore signed all-rounder Krunal Pandya for Rs 5.75 crore, while Rajasthan Royals bought Nitish Rana for Rs 4.2 crore.
Delhi Capitals roped in Faf du Plessis for just Rs 2 crore to bolster their experience, which could prove to be a great deal. Sam Curran was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 2.4 crore. Mumbai Indians bought Afghanistan spinner Allah Ghazanfar for Rs 4.8 crore.
Gujarat Titans also roped in Washington Sundar for just Rs. 3.2 crore to add strength to their squad. This auction showed that the value of players depends on their experience, form and team strategy.
