The third and final match of the ongoing T20I series between India and Sri Lanka is now on the head, with some new faces expected to feature in the playing XI.
The Indian team has impressed the spectators with its performance in the ongoing series, and no stone has been left unturned in the team’s preparations under new coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav.
However, the result of the series has already been decided, India has won the first two matches. In the rain-curtailed second T20I on Sunday, India also defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets, making it clear that the Indian team is completely dominating this series.
After the second T20I, the batting performance of the Sri Lankan team was disappointing, and the main reason for their defeat was their weakness in the middle overs. During this time, the Indian bowlers performed brilliantly and kept the Sri Lankan batsmen hostage in any situation.
Now, some changes can be made in the Indian team for the third match. There is a question mark over the fitness of vice-captain Shubman Gill, and in his absence, Sanju Samson could be given a chance.
Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal has performed brilliantly in the first two matches and has become an important player for the Indian team.
