On November 15, the IPL 2025 Auction List was officially revealed by the organizers. A total of 574 players have been shortlisted to participate in the IPL Auction 2025, which is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25.
Initially, 1,574 players signed up for the auction, including 1,165 Indians and 409 overseas players. This list included 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 players from Associate Nations.
The governing body has now trimmed the list down to 574 players. Out of these, 366 are Indian players, 208 are from overseas, and 3 are from Associate Nations. Breaking it down further, there are 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas players.
Even though 574 players are listed, only 204 slots are available across the 10 teams, including 70 slots for overseas players.
Here’s a breakdown of the players shortlisted for the auction:

- Capped Overseas Players: 193
- Associate Players: 3
- Uncapped Indian Players: 318
- Uncapped Overseas Players: 12

The marquee set of players has been divided into two groups, featuring 12 top names. Players like Jos Buttler, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Kagiso Rabada, and Mohammed Shami will kick off the bidding.
Other marquee players include Yuzvendra Chahal, Liam Livingstone, David Miller, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj. Big names like Jofra Archer and Cameron Green are missing from the list raising eyebrows among fans.
