India Head Coach Gautam Gambhir showed a heartwarming gesture for Washington Sundar after he took a 7-wicket haul in the 2nd Test between India and New Zealand.
Washington Sundar picked up 7 wickets in the 2nd Test, helping India break through New Zealand’s batting lineup on Day 1. After Ravichandran Ashwin claimed the first three wickets for India, Sundar took over with his off-spin, dismissing the remaining batters.
Rohit Sharma trusted Washington Sundar for multiple consecutive overs, as New Zealand was bowled out for just 259. When New Zealand’s first innings ended, Washington Sundar returned to the pavilion with his teammates, receiving applause from the crowd for his brilliant performance.
