Is Ravindra Jadeja going to RR next season? That question is burning in every cricket fan’s mind right now. CSK and RR are talking about a massive trade for IPL 2026. Jadeja might swap places with Sanju Samson between these franchises. Nobody thought this deal was even possible a few weeks back.

Both these players carry a price tag of Rs 18 crore each. The swap looks perfect on paper but things aren’t that simple. Some complications are stopping this blockbuster trade from happening right now.
Rajasthan Royals Wants More Than Just a Straight Swap
The Rajasthan Royals aren’t satisfied with just exchanging Sanju Samson for Ravindra Jadeja. They want CSK to add another player to this deal as well. The Royals specifically have their eyes on Dewald Brevis from the CSK squad. The young South African batter has impressed everyone with his power hitting recently.
Super Kings doesn’t want to lose two quality players for just one. They believe giving up Ravindra Jadeja alone is already a huge sacrifice. Adding Brevis to the trade makes no sense for them financially. The Chennai franchise has rejected RR’s demand multiple times already.
RR Exploring Other Options for IPL 2026
Rajasthan Royals owner Manoj Badale is trying different approaches for Sanju Samson. Rajasthan Royals contacted Sunrisers Hyderabad about a possible trade recently as well. They also reached out to the Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals teams. Even Kolkata Knight Riders got a call from RR about potential deals.
But the Sunrisers showed zero interest in bringing Sanju Samson to their team. They already have a solid batting lineup that works perfectly together. Other franchises haven’t shown much excitement about this trade either honestly.
The Deal Depends on RR’s Next Move
CSK won’t budge from their position on this Ravindra Jadeja trade. They’re firm about not including any additional players with him. The Rajasthan Royals need to decide if they want a straight swap or nothing. The ball is completely in Rajasthan’s court for IPL 2026 now.
