IPL Auction 2025: Today was a very exciting day for cricket fans in the IPL 2025 auction. The bidding of two big Indian cricketers – Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul – took everyone by surprise. Pant has become the most expensive player in IPL history.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) went all out to buy Rishabh Pant. Initially, there was a bidding war between RCB and LSG, in which the price quickly reached 10 crores. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have also jumped into the fray.
When the bid reached 20.75 crore, it seemed that LSG had won. But then Delhi Capitals used the RTM card (Right to Match). However, the LSG was not ready to back down. They made another big bid and roped in Pant for Rs 27 crore. This is the most by any player in the history of IPL.
KL Rahul joined Delhi Delhi Capitals
KL Rahul too had a tough time. As soon as his name came up, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) started bidding. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) have already qualified for the playoffs.
Rahul was bought by Delhi Capitals for a whopping Rs 14 crore. The Delhi team has got a great batsman, who can also keep wickets.
With the sale of these two players, IPL 2025 has become very interesting. While all eyes will be on Pant’s return, Delhi will have high hopes from Rahul. Lucknow have put so much money on Pant, so obviously the team will expect a great performance from him.
