BCCI Announced Huge Prize Money for Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

The Board rewarded the team with INR 51 crore cash prize. Board Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed this historic prize money announcement personally. This amount is separate from the ICC’s reward given earlier. The 2025 CWC victory became extra special with this reward.

BCCI’s INR 51 Crore Prize Money Breakdown

The money will be split among players, staff, and selectors. Coach Amol Muzumdar’s support staff also gets their share from this amount. The board wanted to recognise this historic cricket achievement properly with money.

The victory of the women’s cricket World Cup shows the board’s commitment. This gesture proves that women’s cricket matters equally to men’s cricket. The 2025 reward announcement came within hours of the cup win.

Players will receive the biggest chunk of this INR 51 crore. Selectors who picked the winning squad deserve recognition too obviously.

ICCRewards Also Increased for Women’s World Cup

The International Cricket Council increased their prize money significantly for the 2025 World Cup. Winners now get approximately USD 4.48 million from ICC separately. This translates to around INR 42 crore in Indian currency.

The amount shows growing respect for women’s cricket globally. Previous editions offered much lower money unfortunately. The 2025 change will mean everything for women’s cricket financially speaking.

ICC and BCCI together gave players nearly INR 93 crore total. This combined amount reflects cricket’s changing priorities for the women’s game. The money increase encourages more girls to choose cricket professionally.

What This Reward Means for Women’s Cricket
