Big changes are coming for India’s upcoming tour! The selectors just announced the India one day squad for South Africa series. KL Rahul will captain the team for these important matches. Regular captain Shubman Gill can’t play due to his neck injury. Vice-captain Shreyas Iyer is also missing from the team unfortunately.

Injury Problems Force Leadership Changes
Shubman Gill travelled to Mumbai for medical checks on his neck. The injury has kept him out of recent matches already. He needs a proper assessment before returning to action.
Rishabh Pant is handling Test captaincy duties against South Africa instead. The wicketkeeper-batter gets his chance to lead in the longer format. Meanwhile, KL Rahul takes charge of the one day series completely.
Fresh Names Join the Squad Setup
The 15-member squad has several interesting selections this time around. Tilak Varma earned his spot after impressive recent performances. Rishabh Pant returns to the ODI setup alongside skilled stars. Ravindra Jadeja makes his comeback to boost the all-rounder choices available.
Ruturaj Gaikwad also got picked in the squad after waiting patiently. Veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli remain as the batting pillars. Young talents mix with skilled legends throughout this balanced lineup.
Axar Patel surprisingly didn’t make the cut this time though. Mohammed Siraj also missed out despite touring Australia recently for India. These omissions raised some eyebrows among cricket experts and fans.
