Your first retention eats up Rs 3.5 crore right away. The second player costs Rs 2.5 crore from the budget. Third retention needs Rs 1.75 crore, while the fourth takes Rs 1 crore. The fifth player is the cheapest at just Rs 50 lakh. Retaining all five means spending Rs 9.25 crore total already.
Each team gets a Rs 15 crore purse for building the entire squad. You can keep three capped Indians, two uncapped, plus two overseas. The Right to Match card helps buy back your released stars. The 2026 WPL auction gonna be crazy competitive with tight budgets.

The schedule of WPL 2026 spans exactly one month of cricket action. Five franchises will compete in a round-robin format throughout February-March.
